Winterizing your lawn for the winter. Why and when you should do it. We recommend putting your winterizer down after your last cut for the season. When cutting your lawn for the last time before winter we recommend lower your cutting height down to around two and a half inches. From our recommended three to four inches depending on grass type and what zone you live in. We are in zone 6. It may be higher or lower. After finishing your last cut of the season we recommend putting down a winterizer with weed control. To combat weed growth in the early spring and promote faster green up.
